21st Birthday Party Planning Essentials

Hey guys! So many people have asked me about how I planned my 21st, that's why I've decided to write a post so you can read all about it :)

This party took me about a month to plan, but with this guide I'm sure things will be a lot easier for you! Truth be told, I started all my researching for ezbuy supplies, bakeries and deco waaaay before. I remember it was before final exams, so that's end April?? So I hope this helps make the process faster for everyone!

1. Photo Booth

Out of all the photobooth vendors FantasicalDreamer had the BEST deal?? Fantasical specializes in Muslim weddings, but cover birthdays as well! Nafisah was super easy to talk to, and during negotiations she even agreed to give me a further discounted price.

The entire package includes:

- Backdrop of your choice

- Simple customised props (like flowercrowns and handhelds to suit my floral theme)

- Photostrip with customised design

- 4 hours of unlimited prints

- Plastic covers for all prints

- Photobooth crew

- Customised display

- Customised guestbook

Some downsides though, first was a confusion in the timing which the photobooth team was supposed to set up. Since the Photo Booth was supposed to be from 5-9pm, set up was supposed to be at 4pm, but the team only arrive at 5pm. Thankfully, there wasn't much people at the start so that didn't really have a huge impact. Secondly, the photo booth lighting was also a little dim when the photos were printed.

But I guess all in all, it was still worth the price?

2. Flower Backdrop

One of my favourite items of the day!! I totally set my mind on having this backdrop the moment I saw it on Ezbuy!

These flower backdrops are sold in 60cm x 40cm tiles. I bought 8 of them and tied them together to form a 1.2m height x 1.6m width backdrop. There is a whole variety of colour combinations to choose from and the price depends on the tile design. It is super lightweight which makes it easily transportable, plus it is so pretty I love it!!!

However, I did have a some regrets and realised I should have bought more tiles so the backdrop would have been a little bigger.

BUT, this is considered a splurge because if you are getting a Photo Booth service, you should really make use of their backdrop at your cake table instead, so you can save yourself even more money!

3. Balloons

I got all my balloons from Ezbuy as well! (Without helium of course)

They were all beautiful and working very well in case anyone is hesitant about ordering them from Ezbuy. Some are really really cheap and some are just relatively cheaper. Just a confession, I got a little lazy halfway and these are probably not the cheapest options:

Love this!! I'm not very sure how much it was because someone got it for me <3, but it is super pretty and comes with a personalised writing and fairy lights as well!

Helium Tank

Lastly, I had to get helium as well, I rented a small tank which was able to fill 30-40 balloons and still had lots of helium leftover after. So if you want to make this worth your money, you should really get more balloons. Plus, each rental is for 3 days. So if you have two back to back parties, you could really share a tank with your friend.

4. Dessert Table

Total Dessert Table Cost: $611.59 (Inclusive of cake!!)

Total delivery fee: $15

Now for the final amount, including all the misc drinks and items required,

Total cost of entire event: Approx 1.5K (without buffet catering)
